Yet it does not erase the fact that the general medical population has only started recognizing the proven benefits of drinking tea. The type of tea that is widely known for its many beneficial effects is the Chinese green tea. But a few medical doctors think that it does not stop there. For medical doctors, they think that any kind of tea is capable of providing a person several antioxidant and health benefits just like those provided by the Chinese green tea.

For centuries, the ancient people never fail to stop talking about the many benefits of drinking tea. For instance, one of the most common home remedies when it comes to people suffering from colds is the ‘hot totti’. The key ingredient to this home remedy is hot tea in combination with honey, lemon, and a swig of spirits such as whiskey, scotch, or brandy. However, this is very ironic as most cold medicines contain alcohol ingredients.

Another benefit of drinking tea is curing one’s sore throat. One of the most common home remedies for sore throat is drinking hot tea in addition to lemon and honey. You can do away without combining lemon because what is more important is the honey ingredient. Once you combine hot tea with honey and take it, you will then feel its soothing effect on your throat. This simply means that your sore throat is allowed to heal without you having to buy any prescription drug or over the counter medication.

Drinking green tea is sure to provide several antioxidant effects. Ashitaba tea is one example of tea that can greatly boost any person’s immune system defenses. A lot of people choose to drink this tea during the cold weather to be able to protect themselves from all forms of bacterial and viral infections. Though a lot of medical professionals think that all kinds of tea have the same qualities, this is not the same for ashitaba tea. Increased consumption of ashitaba tea has been proven the boost the immune system of a person leading the person to have decreased occurrences of illnesses.
